Jama Masjid Al-Shams was first constructed in 1979. It was reconstructed & re-designed with the present look in 2000. More then 10,000 persons can offer Namaz in the Masjid. Diameter of the dome is 36 ft. & the height of the minaret is 124 ft. The dome is placed 50 ft. heigh above the first floor. Ample space for Iftar in Ramzan ul Mubarak. Adequate arrangement for offering Namaz e Janaza & performing last rites of the deceased. Solid wooden main gate of 20 ft. high. Holy Quranic Aayat are inscribed inside the dome in golden letters.

‘Ashraful Ulema Islamic Institute’. Apart from N. H. English Academy, Syed Nazar Hussain floated one religious institute ‘Ashraful Ulema Islamic Institute’ under Jama Masjid Al-Shams Trust. The foundation stone of this institute was laid by Hazrat Maulana Hamid Ashraf Sahab on 17th Dec., 2000. Islamic as well as modern Indian Educational System together with computer courses are soon to be introduced in this Islamic Institute. After passing from this Islamic Institute, students may get absorbed not only in religious organisations but also in mainstream.

To cater the need of unprivileged and economically weak students by teaching them in their mother tongue, ‘Noorjahan Urdu Primary School was floated in 2000 after Syed Nazar Hussain’s wife Begum Noorjahan Syed. From Primary to Std. IX, there are 850 students studying under the guidance of it’s Principal Nigar Sultana, youngest daughter of Syed Nazar Hussain together with the team of qualified and trained teaching staff.
